One-line business canon

HomeLog exists so the person responsible for a physical space does not have to keep watching it personally all the time.

Why this is a new lens

Earlier HomeLog canon primarily asked what a home or shared space should become: a place with memory, presence, awareness, care, and ask-before-act agency.

This draft asks a different question:

Whose recurring burden does HomeLog remove, and what outcome is valuable enough to pay for?

The working answer is the owner, operator, or responsible person who repeatedly checks a place, calls someone, opens a dashboard, reviews a camera, or reconstructs what happened while they were away.

Problem statement

A physical space cannot normally explain itself. When the responsible person is absent, they may need to ask:

• Is anyone there?
• Did the place open or close?
• Did the expected event happen?
• Is something unusual happening?
• Does anyone need attention?
• What happened before the current state?

This burden can exist across homes, shops, workshops, warehouses, and small factories. The signals and risks differ, but the job is structurally similar: maintain trustworthy awareness without remaining physically present.

Product promise under validation

HomeLog aims to observe signals from a place, reconstruct the most believable current state, preserve relevant evidence, and spend the responsible person’s attention only when intervention is justified.
